HOSTING TEAM: North Shore Swim Club

MEET FORMAT: The meet will be swum as timed-finals.  The session will be seeded by computer based on positive check-in for all events by the end of the second warm up. Heat sheets will be posted around the pool deck.  Coaches will be able to pick up heat sheets for each event at the timing platform on deck.  Hot Starts will be used for all 11 & Over events, 10 & Under events will exit the pool before the next heat starts.

SCHEDULE & TIMES: Warm ups will begin at 10:00 AM ending at 11:30 AM (see team warm up assigned schedule). Opening ceremonies will begin at 11:35 Am with meet starting as soon as the ceremonies are completed.

SITE: The Salem State College Competition Pool is an 8-lane, 25-yard pool with seven-foot-wide lanes and non-turbulent lane lines.  Fully automatic Colorado Time Systems with touch pads and full 8 lane electronic scoreboard display. Balcony spectator seating for 250 people and deck seating for 350 coaches and officials.  The pool is located inside the Salem State College O’Keefe Athletic Complex, 352 Lafayette Street, Salem MA 01930.  

COURSE: Short course yards (25 yards).

ELIGIBILITY: Swimmers age for the JCC Championship will be determined as of November 15, 2009.

ENTRY INFORMATION: Entries must be received no later than March 12, 2010. Mail completed forms (including signed entry cover page and waiver) to Dan Warner, 19 Fenley Road Gloucester Ma. 01930.  All entries must include a completed and signed entry cover sheet and waiver. 

ELECTRONIC ENTRIES: Electronic entries (such as from Hy-Tek Team Manager or other team management software) that are in CL2 or SD3/SDIF format may be emailed as an attachment to the entry chairperson at nssc1@aol.com.  Please check that your team name, address, and contact information are listed correctly in this file. 

ENTRY LIMITS: Athletes may enter and swim either 3 individual events or 2 individual events and 1 or 2 relays. Teams may enter any number of swimmers in individual events and a maximum of 2 relays per event. Only 3 swimmers may score in individual events and both relays may score.

ENTRY TIMES: All entries must be specified in short-course yard (25-yard pool) times. 

25-YARD EVENTS: 25-yard events will finish at the turn end of the pool with manual timing.

PROGRAMS: $3.00 Specialty Program (Seeded).

WARMUPS:

TIMERS: Each team will provide timers for the entire session where listed below: 

Back up timers: One timer each:      MHJCC, SJCC, WAH

SAFETY:

1. Diving will be prohibited during warm-ups except in specifically announced one-way sprint lanes. 
2. No shaving is permitted at the competition site.
3. No glass containers are permitted within the facility.
4. Swimmers must be under the supervision of a coach at all times. 
5. No camera cell phones are permitted in the locker rooms.

RULES: 2010 USA Swimming rules will govern all competition.  Decisions by the meet referee will be final unless a written protest is lodged within 30 minutes of the heat swum.

DECK ACCESS: Only athletes, coaches, officials, and official meet staff are permitted on the pool deck. 

SCORING: Individual events - 13,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1      Relays – 26,22,20,18,16,14,12,10,8,6,4,2,

AWARDS: In individual and relay events medals will be awarded for 1-6 places and ribbons 7-12 places. At the completion of the last event of the meet and team scores are tabulated trophies will be awarded for the New England JCC league Division 1 and Division 2 champions plus runner up teams.

FOOD: On deck there will be a hospitality area for coaches and officials. There will not be a concession for spectators.

EQUIPMENT VENDOR: An equipment vendor will be at the meet and there will be a meet t-shirt available.

MISCELLANEOUS: North Shore Swim Club assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen property.  Pets of any kind and smoking are not permitted within the facility. Any disrespectful behavior will be terms for immediate dismissal from the meet.

PARKING: There is ample parking available in the parking lot adjacent to the Salem State College O’Keefe Athletic Complex.

DIRECTIONS: From 128N take Exit 25A toward Salem (114E).  Follow 114E through downtown Salem onto Route 1A (Canal Street). Stay on Canal Street 1 1/2 miles, Salem State O'Keefe Center will be on left with ample parking. Walk up ramp to complex entrance.

Any swimmer, whose entry is accepted will for himself, his heirs or executors and administrators waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages he/she may have against  North Shore Swim Club or any of their officers or the Salem State College for any injuries suffered by his/her at said meet.
